Stephanie Fiona Holdsworth is a Vancouver-based textile designer and the founder of stephanie fiona design, where she creates thoughtful, high-quality print designs for brands and buyers around the world. Her work combines intentional artistic expression with strong technical understanding, resulting in prints that feel both refined and emotive.
With a background in design and education, Stephanie spent several years teaching design, developing a deep understanding of creative process, experimentation and collaboration. Alongside teaching, she built her first business, stephanie fiona rc, designing and producing home décor pieces sold at local markets, while continuing to expand her skills across jewellery making, ceramics, crochet, metalwork, knitting and pattern making. In 2023, she designed and made her own wedding dress.
Stephanie’s approach to design is shaped by both creativity and science. Coming from a family of makers and scientists, she sees design as a balance of research, theory, materials and experimentation. Her passion for textiles began in high school and deepened through her university studies in textiles and spatial design, where she became drawn to the intersection of artistic expression, design thinking and textile science.
Since 2024, she has focused fully on her textile design practice, developing collections suited to baby and infant textiles as well as home décor. She is particularly drawn to the illustrative process of creating motifs, building harmonious colour palettes and crafting repeat patterns that evoke a sense of calm and cohesion.
Inspired by patterns found in nature and culture, Stephanie abstracts these influences into her signature style of clean, minimal and organic forms. Her work, often rendered in neutrals and soft pastels, is designed to feel soft, serene, comforting and quietly uplifting.
